Acelity Surgical Wound Forum – A Great Learning Experience for Dubai Doctors
Dubai: Acelity, an International wound care, and regenerative medicine company hosted the Acelity Surgical Wound Forum (ASWF) which began on Friday in Dubai.
The goal of ASWF is to help peer-to-peer learning through a professional platform and facilitate learning through exchange of innovative concepts about wound care, surgery and the intervention of latest technology for safety and effectivity of surgical procedures.
The agenda of ASWF’s four specialty-dedicated breakout sessions is focused on the current challenges and surgical practices involved in orthopedic and orthopedic-trauma surgery, plastic surgery, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery and general and trauma surgery. The faculty of ASWF is a combination of top medical specialists from around the globe who are actively serving in leading hospitals around the world. Dr. Muneera bin Nikhy, consultant plastic & reconstructive surgeon specialized in super-microsurgery and reconstructive microsurgery serving in Al Adan hospital, Kuwait also shared her valuable experienced and concepts of latest surgical practices.

The main theme of the meetings was, ‘Go Beyond-Innovate, Integrate, interact’, a welcoming notion received graciously by many leading doctors in Dubai including Dr. Uwe Klima, a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon who has over 5400 cardiac, 2000 thoracic, 2400 vascular and 1000 general surgery procedures to his name. Sharing his thoughts on the Acelity Surgical Wound Forum he said,
“It is a great opportunity for young surgeons to learn about the latest medical procedures and new devices used in surgical procedures in the world today”.
During the conference Mr. Gaurav Agarwal, Chief Commercial Officer at KCI Medical Middle East congratulated the participants of the forum in his speech and said,

The forum was birthed in 2015 on the very concept of providing the latest medical education through peer-to-peer engagement and stimulating a culture of clinical partnerships for surgeons across the world. This forum has since helped numerous conferences and events to uphold its mission across the world and Dubai has been its latest destination for educating medical professionals through speakers’ with a high standard of diverse and engaging topics.
