Ajman Free Zone

Ajman free zone was established in 1988, to promote export oriented industrialisation. This led to a tremendous growth in the number of industries in the region. Free Zone was granted autonomous status in 1996 under the Amiri decree issued by the ruler H H Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi. Ajman free zone authority (AFZA) is the sole regulatory agency for all free zones in emirates . Currently there are more than 2000 companies registered under this zone.

AFZ provides special economic status to the businesses operating out of the Free Zone. Like all other Free Zones, Ajman Free Zone also offers corporate benefits like 100% Foreign Ownership, 100% Repatriation of Capital and Profits, No Corporate Tax, No personal income tax etc. Cost advantages and their simplified procedure along with transport feasibility makes Ajman Free Zone different from other Free Zones.

Cost Advantage of Ajman Free Zone

Ajman Free Zone provides cost advantages which include low lease prices, cheap energy, economical wage structure and easy access to vast work force and exceptionally low handling charges. It may also be noted that Ajman Free Zone does not charge any service charges or hidden fees.

Infrastructure and Connectivity of AFZ

AFZ has developed with world class infrastructure including the banking and postal services. Moreover the location of the FZ provides easy connectivity to support global trades. The FZ is connected by two International airports Dubai and Sharjah within 25 minutes drive. Apart from the Ajman port, there are 3 neighbouring ports namely Sharjah’s Khorfakkan Port, Port Khalid and Dubai’s Port Rashid. Over and above this FZ has easy access to other states of Arab GCC(Gulf corporation council) .

Quick process of the application at Ajman FZ

It takes only 1 or 2 working days for the processing of new application form with required documents. Once its approved and the applicant fulfils all the requirements and render the required fee set by AFZA, the applicant is granted appropriate license.

Business Continuity at Ajman Free Zone

AFZ provides 20 years land contract and is renewable for another 20 years. This guarantees 40 years of low cost & efficient base for business.

Types of Business invited to Ajman

AFZ has issued 4 types of License namely, trading, industrial, professional service and national industrial license. The former three license are issued to foreign/ UAE companies who wish to carry out trading , manufacturing , the business of providing professional services activity in the FZ respectively. The national industrial License are issued to those companies in FZ which are registered with GCC with GCC national/s having majority share. They enjoy duty free export with other states of GCC.

  • Free Zone Entity FZE
  • Free Zone Company FZC
  • Branches of a local or a foreign company
