Areas to Cycle in Dubai

Are you cycle enthusiast searching for a safe place to ride your bike in this car-clogged city?? Cycling is a great outdoor activity which has many heath benefits. Here is a list of places to gear up and go cycling around Dubai.

Al Qudra Cycle Path

Al Qudra Cycle Path consists of two brand new cycling path which have recently been finished at Al Qudra Road (total length about 86km if you were to start at the start of the track).

The first cycling track stretches 18 km starts off at the first round about following the bridge over the Dubai Bypass Road and extends up to the round about on the intersection of Bab Al Shams Road and Al Qudrah Roads.Here it joins with the second track where it then follows a loop through Dunes and past the Bab Al Shams hotel.

Cycle Safe organises rides on the Al Qudra track on Friday mornings for beginners and advanced cyclists. There is also the popular Bab Al Shams coffee run on Saturday mornings.

Nad al Sheba Cycle Path

The unused camel path was turned into a beautiful cylce path which has a choice of 4km,6km and 8km loop.The whole course is flood-lit so that the cyclists can use it in the evening which is a great option during summer.There are other facilities like toilets, changing rooms with showers and lockers etc.

In  addition to this, there is also an 850-metre children??s proficiency course (4-14 yrs old) which has street signs, speed bumps and roundabouts to teach youngsters about road safety.

Dubai Autodrome

FREE Cycle Safe Nights, which is an intiative by Cycle Safe sponsored by Spinneys, are conducted every wednesday from 18:00 to 21:00 at the Dubai Autodrome, which is located in Motorcity.. Cyclists can bring their own bike and helmet and can lap the 2.46km track under floodlights, without a motorist in sight.Remember ?? No Helmet, No Ride!

The track is so big with declines and inclines and even you can see kids with roller skates, as well as joggers coming in.

Al Barsha Park

Yet another great place to cycle in Dubai is this lovely family park – Al Barsha Park.Its 1500m long cycling track is ideally suited for children.

Timings : 8:00 am till 10:00 pm

Free entrance

Mushrif Park

The cycle path which undulates its way around the dunes of the park is about 4.5 km long loop.

Timings : Open till 11pm.

Entrance Fee :  Dhs 10 per car/ Dhs 3 per person.

Jumeirah Open Beach Track

There is a 1.5-2km cycle path right next to the open Beach in Jumeirah, opposite the Jumeirah Mosque. This place is very much ideal for children to cycle around and have some great fun.
