Blue souk in Sharjah

Jun 30, 2011 by rekharajan

Sharjah is the third largest city in UAE. It is famous for numerous things. One of the main landmarks of Sharjah is the central market (Blue souk). Blue souk is one of the largest shopping areas in UAE. This amazing building is located close to Khaled Lagoon. Central market is a commercial type building.

Blue souk is a modern shopping mall and it is decorated with blue tiles outside and has a traditional Arabic design. At night Blue souk glows with its special lighting arrangements. This mall has more than 600 charming shops. It is divided into two sections, one for cosmetics, electronics goods and other for gold, jewels and gems.

Blue Souk Sharjah Opening Times

It is open from 9 AM to 1PM and 4PM to 11PM daily, (except on Friday). Here we can find a variety of traditional handicraft shops.
