driving test 3Dubai drivers have to clear one more test to get qualified for Dubai driving license.A risk awareness test module is added to the driving test to make motorist more aware in school areas, while driving at night, in the rain, in densely populated areas or the desert. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai launched the Risks Recognition Test as part of an enhanced Theoretical Knowledge Test for driving trainees.

The new test is currently conducted in Arabic, English and Urdu. But there are plans to extend it next September to Chinese, Farsi, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Russian and Tamil.

The test contains five videos of 25 seconds that have been added to the existing automated Knowledge Test per student, each to depict environment and risky road conditions to help the driver cope while driving in the rain, on highways, in school zones, desert areas, densely populated or market areas with high pedestrian traffic, residential neighbourhoods and night driving.

This test covers light vehicles, heavy trucks, buses and motorbikes to raise traffic awareness and road safety.

??The introduction of the Risks Recognition Test complements the Theoretical Knowledge Test, launched in 2010, that sees about 200 thousand tests being conducted annually. The test has yielded positive effects on trainees as it contains vital information,?? CEO of RTA??s Licensing Agency, Ahmed Bahrozyan said.
