The Dubai Tram has opened its doors to public on Nov 12,Wednesday after its grand inaugration on the day before. Are you excited to try out this new mode of transport in Dubai??
In Phase 1, Dubai Tram will start from Dubai Marina, pass through Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai Knowledge Village, Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and end at Al Sufouh.There will be 11 stations in the first phase, starting from Dubai Marina and ending at Al Sufouh.
Similar to Dubai Metro,the payment is with your Nol Card. Make sure to tap in and tap out on the Automatic Fare Collection Machines when you use Dubai Tram.A tram ride on Silver class costs Dh3, irrespective of the distance travelled.For Gold class,the fare is double.
Timimgs for tram is :-
- Weekdays (Saturday to Thursday) – From 6:30 AM to 1:30 AM (the next day)
- Fridays – From 9:00 AM to 1:30 AM (the next day)
There will be 6 minute intervals between Trams
You can also have access to and from shopping malls, hotels, Dubai Knowledge Village, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City
It has a capacity of up to 405 passengers. Each Dubai Tram will have 7 cabins and each cabin measures 3.5 meters in height and 44 meters in length. There will be a total of 11 Dubai Trams running in Phase1.Each tram has 3 classes of cabins: Gold, Silver and Women & Children.
Tram is integrated with Metro at Dubai marina MS and JLT MS.It will also link with the Palm Jumeirah Monorail at Al Sufouh Street.
