To get your UAE visa stamped in your passport,all visa applicants should undergo medical fitness tests in Government medical fitness centres. It.It is a mandatory test for people who require a new visa, or renew an existing visa for employment, residency, or education.

It is possible to apply and pay online at the DHA website or just go to the center and pay there.
At the medical centre basically you have to do a blood test along with the X-ray of chest.The blood test is done to check for transmissible diseases including HIV and X-ray of chest for checking Tuberculosis.
Applicants with previous scars of TB are not eligible to get their visas stamped. In such cases, the blood tests are done, and if positive, the applicant will be deported from Dubai.So if you think you are suffering with any communicable disease, it is always best to get it reviewed first in your home country.
Medical Fitness Tests are conducted for the following diseases:
- Hepatitis B
- HIV / Aids
- Pregnancy tests
But not all of the above tests are required for all.

All new residence visa applicants have to get tested for HIV,TB and Leprosy and is deported if found positive. But TB sufferers are treated first before deportation at the Muhaisnah Medical Center in Dubai.
The category of workers, which include nannies, housemaids, nursery and KG supervisors, beauticians and barbers, health club workers, and food handlers, will have to undergo tests for Hepatitis B and also for syphilis. Treatment will be given for syphilis and the person will not be deported.HBV vaccination is compulsory for the following six categories and will be charged separately at the rate of AED 50.The UAE visa applicants tested for Hepatitis who have previously failed a medical test showing positive results can re-apply for residence visa.
Applicants seeking to work as domestic helpers, babysitters and female drivers should undergo pregnancy tests which costs Dh50 and if positive,the employer must provide a letter of no objection before residence visa is granted.
After completion of all your tests, collect your receipts and you may have to return to collect your results three days later. Medical Fitness report will be sent to Immigration Department by the Clinic electronically and the applicant will receive an SMS from the Clinic. If the message is Medically Fit, the applicant can proceed to Immigration for Visa Stamping with typed application.
For New Visa holders: Medical Test and visa stamping to be done within 60 days from the date of entry.
For Renewal: Medical Test and visa renewal to be done within 30 days from the date of expiry. Employment visa holder’s Labour Card to be renewed within 60 days from the date of expiry.
Validity of Medical Certificate: 3 months for the date of issue.
If you live in Dubai but you are applying for a residence visa from a different emirate, then you need to either do the medical test in that emirate,or Medical Certificate from Kuwait Hospital/Al Baraha Hospital can be used in all emirates for visa purpose.Also medical certificate from Kuwait Hospital/Al Baraha Hospital is valid for Marriage and GCC/Government jobs.

Medical Test is not required for children below 18 years old. Parents above 75 years also not required Medical Fitness Certificate for their residence visa renewal.
