Mar 23, 2013 by tulip

You require a visa for Dubai to travel to Dubai. Please normally get confused between the types of visas that are available for travel in UAE. A visit visa and a tourist visa are both entry permits for visitors to UAE. The difference is based on who is sponsoring the visitor for their trip, the cost of the visa, and if the visa is renewable or not.

Visit Visa

A visit visa is valid for 60 days before entry to Dubai. It can only be used for one entry. There are 2 types of visit visa – Short term visit visa which is valid for 30 days and Long Term visit Visa which is valid for 90 Days. If a visitor wishes to re-enter Dubai after departing from UAE, he / she should not return to UAE for then next 30 days. After 30 days can they apply for a new visit visa.

Visit visa requirements

The person who is sponsoring the visitor should be a resident of the UAE. If a company is sponsoring the visitor it should be based in UAE. GCC citizens do not require a visit visa to enter the UAE. They only require the GCC country passport on arrival to the UAE.
